Concert for fans is inevitably coming up. Mihalych, Gene, and Voenruk are rehearsing tirelessly in spite of Voenruk's cruel flu, which disturbed him to join the band at their Moscow visit. - November, 26

And some recording news. The label KDK has made a special release of the band. This record is "The Best of Animal Jazz". It's already came on sale. - November, 4
The showcase performance of the new album "Kak Ludi" in St. Petersburg is coming up. The show starts at 8.30 pm on November 6. Club opened from 7.00 pm. Tickets are almost sold out. The band to play 22 songs plus one cover on the famed song you already knew. There will be some guests at the concert. It's the Eskimo's guitar player Max Kravzov. Pilot's violinist Max, Shnur and Billy's Band are expected to appear too.
By the way, the broadcasting of The Open Project's "Kuhnya" show planned for November 14 or 21 on TVC channel. - October, 29

The band's back from Moscow. The concert for fans was remarkable with its sincere atmosphere and guitarists' wildness. In comparison with that the performance at TVC studio was calm and peaceful. Well Moscow, get ready! The band's gonna bring a bit of toxic. And on September 26 Animal Jazz invited to play Port club in St. Petersburg with Billy's Band. That will be Billy's song "Tak Ya Padal". Who hasn't heard this metal before - you are welcome! - September, 16

The concert at SKK turned out a bit experimental - the time of the set was moved and cut at the last moment so the band decided to play few new songs. The sound on stage was awful as always at the open-airs. In general, everything's fine, the band's preparing for the Red Club show on September 16. - September, 9

Well some unpleasant news. Boris Golodets is not more the part of Animal Jazz. After four years being in the band he's left. We are sorry about that.
Also we have good news - the band's got a new keyboard player. This is Stanislav Gavrilov known by his work with the bands Prepinaki and WINE. And he'll play all keyboards parts for the new album. So anyway, our train keeps nonstop going into the autumn... - September, 1

Yesterday night the band urgently visited DDT studio to record few newborn songs for the next album. During nearest weeks all materials will be being mastered. First songs are to be completed in early September and maybe part of them will appear on the site. - August, 10

The band's back from "Nashestvie" festival. That was something. The heavy shower happened in the middle of their set was really symbolic. After that "the total Woodstock has started" - gave comment on this Mr. Kozyrev. It was played three songs "Kak Ludi", "StereoLubov", "Iuda" and one more with the Billy's Band.
Well, everybody were super delighted, thanks to all! Problems with the sound which had appeared at the beginning seemed to be fixed later. And in one of the next five days including today you can see the performance on Muz-TV. - August, 3

Our congratulations with the first day of the last summer month!
The act at Fender festival was played perhaps in the most extreme conditions for all Animal Jazz's history. At the day of departure to Moscow Gene has felt really sick. He had a running temperature - 39, 6 so he'd stayed at home. The Eskimo's guitar player Max was terminally found to replace the ill musician. And he's played 6 songs with the band. It has to be mentioned that Max was studying his parts in the train at night and partly during soundcheck. As a result, everything was played great. Honour and praise to him! Even more, playing the "Tak Ya Padal" with the Billy's Band practically from notes he'd worked out to do all correct.
Well, thanks to him and to all who'd come to support us!

The set at "Krylia" festival was really cool and hot: Watch the Gallery section.
Now the band will perform at "Fender" festival on July 31. They'll start at 4.30 pm on the alternative stage and will be playing for 30 minutes. Besides, you'll have an opportunity to see Animal Jazz once more on R'n'B stage. They'll play one song together with the Billy's Band at 6.00 pm. That's some metal. By the way, the entrance to the festival is free. - July, 22
The recording chronicle: 20 tracks are already recorded and one which was written during recording session has to be finished tomorrow. At the present moment one thing is clear; there will be some surprises on the album. The record will MUCH differ from all done before.

The set with Billy's Band put such a remarkable impression on the musicians that it was decided to repeat it again at the forthcoming festivals - FenderFest and Nashestvie. You can find a couple of shots in the Gallery.
From Wednesday the band are to start the recording of a new album. During recording process they will appear at festivals, in particular on July 24 in Moscow at Krylia. Animal Jazz' set planned for 6.00 pm on Small stage. After all fests the band are going to finish studio work and already in September wait for their new songs on the radio. - July, 9
Some details on tomorrow joint concert at Red Club. There will be unique showcase of a song "Tak Ya Padal" written by Billy's Band for their single "Otorvemsya Po Pitersky" which will be presented at Red Club. It was the idea of Billy Novik (Billy's Band's lead singer) and Andrew Ryzhyk (guitar) to make this song together with Animal Jazz. There was just one rehearsal on the day before yesterday. The band has finished this season's club concerts with their black & white performance at Red Club. The final cut was played off and ended at a high strong note. Thanks to everybody for coming. And now festivals and recordings. - June, 30, 5.00 pm
The Shop section is working hard. We have an announcement for everybody who will make requests in July. The band's manager will be on holidays for a month, but all requests will be accepted and fulfilled in August.
Some details about forthcoming performance at Red Club. The show will consist of two parts - black and white. The band is to play songs from both albums: Animalizm and Stereolove. Besides, one unique composition which was already released but was never played live at the concerts will be performed there too. To tell the truth this song gave them creeps... - June, 30, 2.00 pm
The band has played their set at the Megahouse festival. The organization of the event was splendid. Due to the free entrance people came in a huge quantity. The remarkable thing was that the bigger part of the audience was sober. Gene's made a mass while performing "Iuda" and tumbled a half of the band down on the stage. He might be overdone with the energizing drinks which were free of charge. The photos of the apotheosis of that madness were made by Cyril Belyaev and you can find it in Gallery.

The band has played 40 minutes set at "Nashi v gorode" festival. The organization of the event was of high class. The audience was even better. All songs were sung with accompaniment of the public. Mihalych was signing the autographs for a half an hour. After the concert the band was invited to perform at Megahouse festival at Luzhniki on June 27. The invitation was accepted with welcome.

The band has played the Antipops. There were 6 songs. The sound on stage was awful; to put it more correct it wasn't there at all. In the auditorium it was a little better. Nevertheless, the audience was great.
And a few words about an exclusive gig which was played in Moscow on April 24. That was Animal Jazz second special performance for fans and it becomes a good tradition. Thanks to everyone who'd come. The atmosphere was really warm.

The concert in Redclub has taken place. It looked like everybody enjoyed it. The club was overcrowded and that was nice. But it's pretty hard to perform in such atmosphere. The concert probably became the band's last solo show in St. Petersburg for this season. Animal Jazz will appear on TV and in the other cities in nearest future. The concert in B2 became almost one of the best of all Animal Jazz gigs in Moscow. Mihalych has hardly burst into tears from overcoming emotions in the end of the performance. The songs from the previous album ("Tay", "Waltz", "Igra bez pravil", "Requiem", etc.) were met so much well that the band's going to put some of them to their constant concert program. Beyond any doubts, the band will play these songs at their concert in Redclub on April 17. And there will be some more. - April, 12

The band rehearses a lot the old good songs according to fans requests and their own desires. They are going to perform in their shows on April 13 at B2 and on April 17 at Redclub 4-5 songs, which hadn't been played by musicians for more than one and a half year.

The concert in "Estacada" wasn't long, but it was definitely roaring. Few the most impressive things:
Gene dived into the crowd while "Iuda" was being played.
Fireworks made by amazing supporting fanteam. Thank God, the security didn't put attention on this fact. The club was overcrowded, so any unnecessary acts from their side would be really disturbing.

On March 6 the inhabitants of Russia can join and enjoy the music of Animal Jazz. The band will be live on Nashe Radio on "Vozduh" show from 6 till 7 pm. Next performance in Moscow will be at Mainfest in "Estacada" club on March 5. The solo concert of AZ seems to be played in late March in "Sexton" club. The band promised to play in Moscow more often - so they will.
The nearest date in St. Petersburg is March 7, in "Moloko" club. This concert will be unique in some way because of possibility to hear absolutely new songs from the next (!!!) album. The material for it is already done and waiting for the moment to be released. At present the band's going to be signed with some new recording label. Also there will be special guests at the concert - Moscow emo-rock group "My Rockets Up!".

We've visited Pskov. "Tir" club turned out to be a nice place. That's a wild mix of few clubs: "Fishka", "Moloko", "Cynic" and "Front". It's decorated with heart - there're a lot of different fanny kickshaws. The sound wasn't good enough. Besides, the show was much delayed because of problems with mixing desk. It just burned down. So we played not the whole program, just 11 songs. We had to catch a train. Though, it wasn't our fault we present our apologies to the audience patiently waiting during 4 hours for concert to begin.
Nevertheless the performance was rather hot. Wait for some photo from St. Petersburg, Moscow and Novgorod shows coming soon! And, of course, from Pskov gig too. - February, 18
We back from Nizhniy Novgorod. The concert was played in warm and friendly atmosphere. It's pleasant we have so many fans there, especially girlfans. The exclusive Mihalych's thanks to Olga for her lyrics. They're great. Being in the city we had short of time, so we didn't visit Pokrovka and Chkalov Stairway as we usually did. Well, we'll do it during our next visit.
